Seth Power
Considering the sultry feel of Seth Power’s music, it’s no surprise he grew up just east of “The City With Soul,” otherwise known as Jackson, Mississippi. A talented singer-songwriter with music reminiscent of Ed Sheeran and John Mayer’s early catalogs, Seth combines modern pop melodies with soft rock and bluesy undertones. When playing solo, Seth utilizes a loop station, a device that allows him to create a larger sound than most one-man shows are capable of producing. With a few stomps of his foot, he’s able to layer tracks in real-time and showcase his lead guitar skills; an approach that gives his audience a more holistic experience.
While attending college, Seth honed his talents as a performer by playing 4 and 5-hour sets for hundreds of college students in downtown Starkville, home to Mississippi State University. His devotion paid off and he went on to open for Rock & Roll legends and land on festival bills with Grammy winners. He also landed a coveted spot on the hit show, American Idol, where he was praised by Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan following his first audition in front of the judges.
In November of 2019, Seth signed with Toucan Cove Entertainment, and in January of 2020, he released Souvenir, a 14-song album full of lush soundscapes, captivating melodies, and timeless songs. This is just the beginning for Seth Power though. As 2020 unfolds, he’ll be releasing an acoustic EP that contains several songs from Souvenir, as well as a documentary series that details the making of the album. Prior to the Covid-19 outbreak, Seth was in the process of touring the Southeast and booking a nationwide college tour. Once states begin to reopen and school is back in session, the tour will be rescheduled and new dates will be released to the public.
